Summer is here!! This means fishing for Mike, sandals and bikes for Sean, bow tie and vest searching for Ryan, and a haircut for Zachary. And that’s it for the news.
But really, tonight (6/17) we’ll be launching off the deck at Legend Brewery, starting at 6:30! Its free folks so make it out if ya can and bring your fathers!
We’re all moved into our new house in the North side of Richmond. The whole band is in and ready for life outside of instrument straps. It’s strange not being right smack in the middle of the fan where all the crazy action happens, but it has lead to more instrumental and songwriting creativity. Many of you have seen it already or will soon. A side note…Mike’s cat Hank lives there too and is adjusting just fine.
Recording dates are being lined up to keep us pushing through with the new full length album which we’re still planning to have out by fall ( hopefully). Amongst the designated songs are hits like “Hard Luck Blues” and “Hesitation”. We may even throw on the popular “Jungle Book Song”. But these things take time and money. Money, money, and more money.
Next weekend we’ll be returning to the beloved Camel. Its been a while since we’ve graced their stage so its sure to be a good night with Carolina Still. Make it out to say hey!
And finally, along with other dates included on our Tour page, we’ll be playing at Ashland Coffee & Tea come September 1rst! Make sure that if you want to make it out that you grab a ticket before hand because it is very possible it may sell out…probably not but you wouldn’t want to be that person that misses the sold out show. We don’t want that either.
Ok, lots of love, etc. -GBs
Thanks to all who made it out to Legend’s last night! We had a blast jamming out tunes over the river on that awesome patio. Word on the street is that we’ll be back there early next month.
So it’s been quite a busy few weeks for us. May has been all double weekend gigs and some week nights in between…whew. We have a lot of weddings coming up as well but not to worry, we’ll be around town as usual to supply new tunes to new ears and seasoned alike.
This Friday (5.11.12) at The Camel, we’ll be playing alongside great roots music acts The Beerticks and River City Band. Beforehand there will be a square dance led by the Cary Street Ramblers so be sure to show up at six sharp to get those feet warmed up! After the square dance, there will be a $5.00 cover for the rest of the evening’s music. We’re excited for a great evening of music and friends.
In other news, Green Boys are back in studio for a couple more tracks come early June. We’ve already put down some rough tracks of originals “Hesitation”, “It’s Easy”, and “Fine By Me” with our newest addition Zack Miller on mandolin. We’re hoping to possibly get a single out along with our first ever music video before the actual full album release, so be sure to check the site for when that comes out! As for which song we’ll use as the single….
More to come later, hope to see you at a show!

This month of September is full of changes for us between new work schedules, grad school, undergrad school, etc. We’re taking these next few weeks to sharpen up some new covers, tighten up on existing originals, and catch up on reading.
But not to worry, we will be playing the
Crozet Music Festival
October 1-3! This festival has been significantly growing the past few years and we think its going to be even more rocking this year! Be sure to get tickets early and camping is available as well. It’s only a short fifty minute drive coming from Richmond so you can also catch us on our day slot if you are unable to camp for the weekend. Check back soon for more updates! Thanks -GBs

We’ve finally gathered the energy and have decided to get our site up and running. Some of us are better at working on music rather than web design but we’re giving it a shot. We’re currently working on setting up audio, video, and show schedules. The site is brand new so we’ve yet to work out all the kinks but hope to have things working smooth soon. We’ll post news and incoming videos, show dates, etc. here on the home page blog as we get them in so be sure to check in regularly for all that good stuff!
Also, please take a second to subscribe to our email list on the right so if we do happen to update events and such you’ll have an email sent to you so you don’t miss out. Thanks everyone!
Also, also – We would like to thank Tc Pugh for volunteering his time and expertise to help us get this site together. If you need any one to assist you with a similar project you can contact him here –
